Inspiring tailormade sustainable workshops

Are you looking for a fun and inspiring experience for your team or group that will bring you closer together while offering new insights?
I invite you to join me in uncovering the power of nature. In a world that seems to be moving faster and faster, it is important to stop occasionally and reconnect with ourselves and our environment. Doing so is valuable not only for personal well-being, but also for creativity, innovation and collaboration within teams.

I offer a series of workshops that put nature’s connection at the centre and have a positive impact on both individuals and groups.
In doing so, I like to work on a personalised basis – so please feel free to contact me if you are interested!

Foraging & ‘wild cooking’: Go out together to discover and harvest edible plants in the area. Afterwards, you will prepare a joint tasting with the freshly picked ingredients. This workshop promotes teamwork, inspiration and connection with both the seasons and local nature.
Group size: depends on location. For cooking at De Ceuvel is max 15, but on location it is possible to work with more guides and more cooking space.

Forest bathing for teams: Leave the stress of everyday work behind and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the forest. This workshop promotes relaxation, mindfulness and team cohesion through various guided exercises and sensory experiences…. Also ideal on your own preferred location as a recharger during seminars or ‘heath days’. Group size: max 15 (possibly 20 by arrangement).

City safari: Explore the wild city – because no matter how much concrete, how tall the building or how fast the car – nature has an amazing ability to adapt to its surroundings. And that is incredibly inspiring! It makes you creative, curious and strengthens your connection with the world around you. Once seen, you can’t unsee it…. There are several starting locations in the city, but is also quite possible to start from your own preferred location. Group size maximum 30.

Leatherwork with a story: Learn the ancient craft of leatherwork and discover how to make beautiful and sustainable products from discarded leather. This workshop emphasises respect for materials and nature, and creates a sense of accomplishment through making things with your hands. Joyful, creative, ‘gezellig’. Everyone will go home with a homemade product.
Location: De Ceuvel, or on preferred location. Group size: max 15

Creating botanical ink: Discover the hidden world of plants and learn how to use them to make beautiful ink and paint. In this way, capture the colours of a day, a place or a specific location. This workshop encourages creativity, wonder and cooperation.
Location: De Ceuvel. Only possible on location if specifics are met. Group size max 12.

Themed excursions: Explore nature around a specific theme – such as communication, community, sustainability or leadership – and discover new perspectives. Enhances inspiration, wonder, creativity and connectedness. Can be done from De Ceuvel, but also very suitable from a preferred location as a break from a more brainy programme. Group size max 30.

Natural mandalas: Work together to create a collaborative piece of art inspired by nature and your collaboration. This workshop is ideal for team building and unleashing creativity. Mandala making is also great on location (provided there is a green area nearby where to work). Group size max 30.

My home base is ‘De Ceuvel’ – an innovative and sustainable incubator in Amsterdam North, where old houseboats have been converted into creative workspaces on land. The entire site functions as a ‘Cleantech Playground’ with composting toilets, heat pumps and helophyte filters for water purification, among other things. In exchange for low rent, all stakeholders support the bigger picture from their own knowledge and expertise. For instance, I have been working here for over ten years on phytoremediation – a technique that tackles pollution in the soil using plants. In 2023, we became a ‘Zoop’ – officially giving non-human life a voice on our site. I am closely involved in that too.

De Ceuvel organises cultural events, workshops and lectures that contribute to a sustainable future. In short: a very inspiring environment! The ‘Werkplaats’ for the workshops is located on the central square – where Café De Ceuvel is also located for possible after-dinner drinks, lunch or dinner as a follow up on the workshop.

Are you interested in a workshop for your team or group? Wonderful!!
Then, of course, you can call me right now (+31 6 21546663). But…. because I am often in the woods/park/field, I am not always directly accessible. In that case, an e-mail or even better the form below is more convenient. I will contact you as soon as possible.

What language are the workshops in? I give the workshops in Dutch or English (or in Frisian for the enthusiasts).

Can you also give a workshop on location? Yes, in many cases I can! It is useful to discuss it, because what is needed varies per workshop.

My group has a different size! Let me know and we can see what is possible. It is true that workshops at De Ceuvel, for example, are limited in their size due to the facilities we use there. But on location, with large groups, I can sometimes work with multiple (foraging) guides or workshop leaders, for example.

Invoice possible? Of course.

Also on weekends? No, preferably not – but if you have something really cool it’s worth asking!
