The Nature Connection starts a series of Craft-workshops at De Ceuvel!
On popular demand I have set up a series of craft workshops at De Ceuvel for this year!
In these, I incorporate all the knowledge and experience I have gained in recent years in working with leather, dyeing with plants and the power of herbs. I am really looking forward to them!!
Since I noticed a lot of craft-loving people I met don’t speak Dutch, I decided to make the workshops bilangual (NL/ENG).
Leather is a wonderful material. It can be supple or stiff, soft or smooth, and it lasts an incredibly long time. Besides, it actually just gets more and more beautiful in use and over time.
I work with discarded leather from the fashion- and furniture industry. In the workshops we will use simple tools to make something beautiful with it – from a small bag to a shoe…
For centuries, our world was given colour through the plants and stones of our own environment. It is wonderful to discover that again – it brings back wonder and admiration for the plants around us.

Rediscover the power of plants, starting from the wisdom of our ancestors combined with the knowledge of today. Did you know that the primal herbs our ancestors used are still all around us? We often call them ‘weeds’ and have forgotten how much value they hold. They are the herbs that formed the basis of our medicine and medicine chest.
Join me in the greenery of the city, learn to pick and make your own herbal remedies.
